The first lot of big comps are just a few months away for Queensland bowlers, but there is still time to submit your entry forms for the State Championships (May 8-21)  and Junior Championships (April 2-7)  if you haven’t already done so.

The Queensland State Championships are open to all Bowls Queensland affiliated bowlers, these championships enable players to compete for state titles in Singles, Pairs, Mixed Pairs,over-60s Pairs, Triples and Fours.

The competition is hotly contested with 11 state titles up for grabs over the two weeks of bowls. 

Capturing a coveted state crown places the winner in the company of some of Queensland’s greatest bowlers including Lynsey Clarke, Cassandra Millerick, Ryan Bester, Brett Wilkie and Mark Casey.

The winners of the State Championship titles in the Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours will advance to the Australian Championships later in the year (Nov 27 – Dec 1, 2017).

Entries are also still open for the Queensland Junior State Championships being held at Caloundra Bowls Club and Pelican Waters Bowls Club which will showcase the extraordinary young talent being developed across the state.

Juniors compete in Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours in the under-18 category, while there are also boys’ and girls’ Singles and combined Pairs events for under-15s and are open to all Bowls Queensland affiliated junior bowlers.
