Queensland’s top clubs start battle for State Pennant crowns The APL may be over, but the bowling action is far from finished, with a big weekend of bowls getting underway at Tweed Heads Bowls Club today (Sat/23).
The 2013 State Pennant Finals have just kicked off, with Queensland’s top clubs going head-to-head over two action-packed days.
We might not have Fox Sports coverage, but there are plenty of big names at Tweed, including APL champions, Brisbane XXXX Gold’s Robbie Wild and Alex Murtagh (representing PineRivers Pirates) and Perth Sun’s star Brett WIlkie (lining out for Helensvale).
Other big names include Tracy Foster (West Toowoomba), Ester Regan (North Mackay), Sue Bond (Ferny Grove), Nathan Rice (Helensvale), Kurt Brown (Pine Rivers) and Aussie legend Ian Schuback, who is lining out for Club Kawana.
So if you’re in the area, get down to Tweed Heads Bowls Club for a great weekend of bowling action.
